Launch of a new social service activity called "Subsidy Program for Elderly Support Organizations"

The Life Insurance Association of Japan, LIAJ (Chairman: Koichiro Watanabe, President of The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company) decided to launch a new program, the "Subsidy Program for Elderly Support Organizations" as part of social service activities, and would like to announce that the subsidy is open for application since 1 August.

This is a project to provide up to 150 thousand yen of subsidies to per private non-profit organizations, volunteer groups and specified non-profit corporations which engage in activities targeted for the elderly to facilitate health care and health promotion, to promote independence of the elderly and to help them to live a meaningful life, amounting to 5 million yen of subsidies in total.

The LIAJ believes that this program will ultimately contribute to extension of healthy life expectancy of the elderly as well as improvement of environment around the local community so that the elderly can enrich their life in good health.
