LIAJ decides to provide scholarship to 200 students as the Scholarship Program for Students of Training Institutions for Certified Care Workers

The Life Insurance Association of Japan, LIAJ (Chairman: Koichiro Watanabe, President of The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company) decided to newly recruit 200 students and provide 48 million yen scholarships for them as the Scholarship Program for Students of Training Institutions for Certified Care Workers for fiscal 2015.
The LIAJ has run this program since fiscal 1989 to provide 20 thousand yen every month for a year to each student with the aim of supporting the students to become certified care workers who are expected to play significant roles as specialists in caring for the elderly.
As the number of people with Certification of Needed Long-Term Care and Needed Support has been increasing with the advancement of aging society in recent years, through this program, the LIAJ would like to contribute to securing of human resources for caring for the elderly.
So far, the LIAJ provided scholarships to 4,234 scholars from fiscal 1989 to 2014, and in this fiscal year, the total number of scholars will be 4,434, adding new 200 scholars.
