LIAJ concludes the Memorandum of Understanding with KLIA

The Life Insurance Association of Japan, LIAJ (Chairman: Koichiro Watanabe, President of The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company) has concluded the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea Life Insurance Association (KLIA) on 7 July 2015.
 Under the circumstances where Japanese life insurance companies are facing regulatory requirements in global context and are expanding their business in global market, LIAJ engages in interactions and enhances closer relationship with foreign insurance associations, with specifically information exchange and visits.
 KLIA and LIAJ had a relationship by taking advantage of various opportunities in the past, it is expected that the MoU supports the cooperative relationship between KLIA and LIAJ.
 This is the second time that LIAJ concludes MoU with foreign insurance association following the MoU with Indonesia Life Insurance Association concluded in February 2015.

LIAJ will engage in interactions and enhance closer relationship with foreign insurance associations.

Objectives

 The MoU aims to promote the cooperative relationship and mutual understanding between both associations and to exchange views and information on matters and activities of common interest in order to strengthen the function of both associations within their respective life insurance markets and, thereby to contribute to the sound development of life insurance industry of the two countries.

Specific Cooperative Activities

 •Mutual visit by executives and staff between both associations
 •Exchange of information and knowledge
 •Support for the member companies of both associations.
