LIAJ Conducts "Subsidy Program for Elderly Support Organizations" for FY2015

The Life Insurance Association of Japan, LIAJ (Chairman: Yoshinobu Tsutsui, President of Nippon Life Insurance Co.) has been conducting the "Subsidy Program for Elderly Support Organizations" as part of social service activities.

Since fiscal 2014, up to 150 thousand yen of subsidies are provided through this project to each private non-profit organizations, volunteer groups and specified non-profit corporations which conduct activities around the local community, that are targeted for the elderly to facilitate health care and health promotion to promote self-reliance of the elderly and to help them to live a meaningful life, amounting to 5 million yen of subsidies in total.

The subsidy is open for application since 2 September.

In response to the advancement of aging society and increasing number of elderly people, the LIAJ will ultimately contribute to improvement of social environment around the local community through this program so that the elderly can enrich their life in good health.
