LIAJ Publishes Survey Results on Approaches toward Enhancing Equity Values

21 March 2017

The Life Insurance Association of Japan, the LIAJ (Chairman: Akio Negishi, President of Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Co.) has been continuously conducting surveys on approaches toward enhancing equity values from the viewpoint of shareholders (i.e. investors) for over 43 years since fiscal 1974.

The LIAJ expects that enhanced equity values encouraged by closer and deeper communication between companies and investors and common awareness of the surrounding issues, which eventually will serve as a driver for revitalization of the overall stock market.

To this end, the LIAJ conducted another questionnaire survey on awareness and efforts of companies and investors this year, and concluded its analyses by drawing out some requests to each of them on potential areas and activities that should be improved toward enhanced equity values.
